We are an independent research and policy institute. Our aim is to educate policymakers and the wider public on the Oromo people and the region of Oromia. We are dedicated to ensuring a non-derivative presence of the Oromos in policy circles that have all too often disregarded collective Oromia agency.
Submissions
The Oromia Peace Institute welcomes pitches and completed drafts on topics related to the Oromo people and the regions in which they live. To submit a pitch or draft, please email it to oromia.peace@mail.com.
Pitches should be 1-2 paragraphs and include the central argument of your piece, an overview of the key points you will cover in your analysis, and your conclusions and recommendations. Completed drafts should be between 800 and 1,600 words, but can be longer based on the topic. Please include a short bio.
If your pitch or submission is time sensitive (e.g., relevant to a historical anniversary or ongoing current event), please indicate this in your message, along with your ideal publication date.
